Flexi-schooling

The vast majority of children attend DNS full time. However in principle we would accept flexi-school pupils and Lindsey has experience of working with parents who home-educate. Children would need to come to school on agreed days and it would be at the discretion of the headteacher.

Parents should in the first instance email the headteacher to arrange to meet to see whether a partnership is possible. They should then apply using the school choice forms from West Sussex for a school place in the Autumn prior to their child reaching school age. Should they be successful in gaining a place, they would be able to take it up on a flexi-school basis.

Parents must make sure they have met with the headteacher and the partnership is agreed prior to applying for a place, to avoid confusion later, as each individual circumstance (and indeed child!) will be different.
