Chairman of Governors: Lisa Farley Headteacher: Lindsey Snowdon

Governing Body:
Our governing body includes The Headteacher, The Chairman of Governors (Lisa Farley), other founders of the school, appointed experts (e.g.
finance and youth work), appointed staff governor/s and two elected parent governors.

School Founders

Lindsey Snowdon - Headteacher
A graduate of Newcastle University and a Montessori trained teacher, she was Principal of an independent Montessori primary school for over five years. She was also a local school governor for over ten years. Lindsey has lived in Crawley for over 20 years.

From now until September 2011, when the school opens, Lindsey is working hard on developing every aspect of the school's curriculum, staffing and buildings ready for the first DNS children. Lindsey is also available to meet with parents (please contact us to make an appointment). She will also be co-ordinating with the many parents who have expressed their interest in supporting the school. Contact Lindsey.

Lisa Farley - Chairman of governors
Lisa is a primary school teacher with over twenty years of experience as a class teacher and in senior management. Her experience spans state Crawley schools, independent schools and a Montessori school. She is married, a mum of one and teaches part time.

Sarah Magrath - trustee
Sarah is one of our valued trustees. She is a middle years (7-13) teacher, and has taught in both state schools and in a Montessori school. She worked for many years in youth work. She is married with three grown up children. She speaks fluent French and has also taught Latin. She is advising us on our languages curriculum.

Helen Thomas - trustee
Helen is one of our valued trustees. She grew up in Crawley and attended Gossops Green and Holy Trinity school. She has an English degree from Durham University. She has experience working in charities and with young people.

Andrew Snowdon - School Business Director
Andrew is an experienced project manager. As a former project manager with KPMG he was responsible for their Middle East Group and carried out strategy and IT work in education, finance and many other sectors. He has worked with several local schools through voluntary work and is well known in the business community and has taught at a FE college. Andrew is also managing director of LaserHub in Crawley and was educated in Crawley schools.

Other teachers
Two other teachers are members of our founding committee. Between them they have expertise in SEN, G&T and teaching English as a foreign and additional language.
 
We will be adding to our governing body, parent and staff governors when the school opens.
