Parental Participation

Yes Please!

We want your class teachers to be available to you through text, email, telephone, face to face and online. Put simply, we want you to know your child's teacher and be able to talk to them.

Active communication works in the best interest of the child and a steady flow of information between home and school (rather than just a yearly report) is important.

We expect that parents will actively choose to send their children to Discovery New School. We welcome Discovery parents who wish to help the school in some practical way, whether this is listening to readers, running an after school club, painting a class room or helping with fund raising. However please note this is not in any way an admission criteria.

Discovery families, with children starting in September 2011, have been wonderful in their support, with many offering their time and skills to the school already.
