Discovery School is able to offer placements to students studying for
 Level 2 and 3 early years courses (any course provider)Montessori teacher training courses (Early years and 6-9 placements)BA and PGCE Trainee teachers (Early years, primary or primary placement for secondary teachers)Psychology degrees with a placement year (predicted 2.2 or above)

Work Experience
6th formers
We are also able to offer work experience to 6th formers who would like experience working with children through: Regular sessions during free your periodsHelping in after school clubs (e.g. choir, languages and sports)

Pre-teacher training work experience
We are also able to offer intensive pre-teacher training work experience, providing you can commit to at least 4 weeks in the summer term or September. You must also be prepared to attend 8am-4pm as a minimum to get the most from the experience.

 This programme includes Opportunities to work with children of different agesOpportunities to meet with the SENCO to discuss special needs provision Opportunities to discuss assessment throughout the school with a teacherOpportunities to come to planning meetingsA reference stating what you have carried out and to what standard for your teaching course.

All placement students will be required to come to an interview and undertake CRB checks, which we can arrange.
